2016

The Core Curriculum, New Hope, is developed to equip lay people to address trauma safely and effectively where there are few or no mental health resources
2017
A pilot project is facilitated with 20 women in East Africa. A third-party evaluation conducted in 2020 reveals that, from 2017 to 2019, the group has multiplied to 4th generation, with reports of over 600 healing groups and more than 500 salvations.

2018

The Core Curriculum enters the Middle East, Subsaharan Africa, East Asia, and South Asia. It is translated into three languages, with two further languages in process.
Partnerships are established with churches in the United States, and trainings are facilitated through churches in Tennessee and Texas.
Work begins on Crisis Response Initial Healing Group: Old Testament to support work with groups that are beginning to connect and are moving towards healing group formation.
2019
A global in-person Community of Practice occurs in the UK with 19 participants from five countries, but serving over 10 countries. These 19 participants are master facilitators in their regions.
The Forgiveness Journey is developed to continue the Core Curriculum, as participants move towards release from bitterness and embracing forgiveness.
Healing multiplies as the Core Curriculum moves into four new countries in Europe and Southern Africa.

2020
A new era begins, with online training spawned by the COVID-19 lockdown. Through 142 online trainings, people in isolation around the world are able to connect in safe and healthy online communities where they find understanding, support, and hope.

Beirut, Lebanon is rocked by the port explosion. Team members and local partnrs enter impacted areas, leading to crisis response development and long-term groups being formed.
Doors open to Latin America, with online trainings reaching into Peru, Mexico, Argentina, and Venezuela. The Core Curriculum is translated into Latin American Spanish.
The first version of Healing Conversations is developed to guide people in “listening well” to the stories of those around them and responding with God’s Word in an appropriate format.

2021
Between 2016 and 2021, more than 2150 individuals participate in healing groups with the Core Curriculum, which is now translated into ten languages.
Multiplying Hope responds to the Afghanistan crisis, providing 216 crisis response and Healing Conversations trainings to organizations and churches meeting needs among thousands of Afghan refugees.

2022
Work in Latin America expands rapidly to 87 groups in ten countries, with 44 groups multiplying to the 2nd generation and 32 to the 3rd. Six new churches are established and 46 people choose to follow Jesus.
The North Africa Project begins with six Bibleless language groups. This first of its kind project pairs trauma healing with oral Bible storying to facilitate healing from trauma and spiritual growth through interacting with God’s Word.
Crisis Response Initial Healing Group: New Testament is created to support healing groups among those devastated by the Ukrainian war. Groups are facilitated online, and participants from these first groups in Ukraine become trauma healers—sharing the healing they receive and facilitating groups to the present day.

2023
Multiplying Hope provides training and equipping to organizations serving in areas devastated by natural disasters: earthquakes in Turkey and Syria; flooding in North Africa; and fires in Hawaii.
Multiplying Hope facilitates relationship between a Ukrainian seminary and one of our counseling consultants to develop a curriculum to train ministers in trauma healing practices.
The Core Curriculum is translated into 15 languages with the addition of Burmese, Brazilian Portuguese, Dari, and Kyrgyz. Staff and ministry partners report trainings this year with participants representing at least 38 countries.
The teams from two people groups in the North Africa Project join a first of its kind oral Bible translation project.


2024
Arabic-Speaking Communities leaders respond to the crisis in Lebanon, providing resources and support to people who desire to walk alongside Lebanese friends and neighbors affected by the war.
Brazil is decimated by catastrophic flooding. Leadership for Latin America implements support and training for Brazilian churches desiring to support their communities.
In the first of its kind project in the global trauma healing and Bible translation worlds, Multiplying Hope partners with a Bible translation organization in East Africa seeking to infuse trauma-informed principles and practices into oral Bible translation.
The women from the 2017 pilot project gather with their trainers. One woman works in IDP camps in her country and reports starting 922 groups within these camps. At the end of 2024, multiplication in the camps has been tracked to the 9th generation.


2025
We are excited to begin a new partnership with Word Collective. Word Collective addresses barriers to accessing God's Word at a heart level. Multiplying Hope addresses one of the most significant barriers to accessing God's Word—trauma. Together, we are walking alongside organizations and churches who want to be trauma-informed in the work they do.
The foundational principles and practices put forth in Multiplying Hope's Core Curriculum are informing many ministries’ approaches in such areas as discipleship, leadership development, community transformation, and Bible translation.
Multiplying Hope joins with Word Collective to train and support partners in a 14-language Oral Bible Translation project that begins with trauma healing.
